Barry Bonds was born on July 24, 1964 in the town Riverside, California, USA. He made his MLB debut on May 30, 1986 for the Pittsburgh Pirates and played his last game in Major League Baseball on September 26, 2007 for the San Francisco Giants. Barry Bonds is a former Major League Baseball outfielder, who is the son of former Major League All-Star Bobby Bonds.
He started his MLB career with the Pittsburgh Pirates in the year 1986 and later on joined San Francisco Giants, where he stayed till the year 2007. Barry Bonds is regarded as the greatest baseball player of all time. He won Most Valuable Player award 7 times, including 4 consecutive MVPs. He got selected fourteen times for All-Star team and eight times he won the award of Gold Glove. He holds several MLB records, which includes all time MLB home run record with 762 home runs and 73 home runs in single season (year 2001). He is the all time career leader in walks (2,558) and international walks (688). He was involved in 1,996 Runs Batted In (RBIs) with the batting average of .298. He made 2,935 career hits with 514 stolen bases, which represents the tremendous record of great Hall of fame Barry Bonds.
Career of Bonds was controversial as he was associated with baseball’s steroids scandal. He was charged for lying under oath and hindrance of justice for lying to the majestic jury during the government’s examination of BALCO, by testifying that he not unintentionally took any illegal steroids. The test is presently programmed to start on March 21, 2011.
