Field of DreamsField of Dreams was released in the year 1989, which was a movie by Phil Alden Robinson. Story of this movie was adapted from the novel Shoeless Joe, which is written by W.P. Kinsella. The star casts of this movie was Frank Whaley, James Earl Jones, Burt Lancaster, Timothy Busfield, Gaby Hoffman, Amy Madigan and Kevin Costner.

Movie starts with a farmer Ray Kinsella, who hears a sound “If you build it, he will come” while working in the farm and this message, motivates him to build a baseball ground in the center of his cornfield farm.

At first sight, Ray Kinsella thinks that the sound is from the ghost of dishonored baseball player Shoeless Joe Jackson, and after some days ghost of Shoeless Joe Jackson meets Ray and both of them play few baseball games together. After few weeks Ray receives several messages from an ethereal voice (Shoeless Joe Jackson), one of which is “Ease his pain”. Then Ray realizes that his field has been exquisitely designed to provide a 2nd chance to citizens who have devoted certain precious aspects of their lives for different purposes though they have immense baseball talent. One of this folk is writer Terence Mann to whom Ray hijacks and takes to his farm, and second one is devoted general practitioner Doc Graham, who gave up his baseball career in favor of medicine and both of them start playing baseball in the farm of Ray, which becomes the field of dreams at the end of the movie for the people like Ray Kinsella, Terence Mann and Doc Graham.

This movie was nominated for 3 Academy Awards, which includes Original score, Best Picture and Best Music.
