Joey VottoJoey Votto was born in the month of September, 1983 in Toronto, Ontario, and is a Canadian Professional Major League Baseball player. He is the 1st baseman, playing for the Cincinnati Reds. He played his first Major League Baseball game in the month of September, 2007 for the Cincinnati Reds. In his second Major League in the season of year 2007, Joey Votto scored his first career home run. He ended the 2007 season, quite well.

On May 7, 2008, he hit 3 home runs in a game against the opponent Chicago Cubs. Votto wrecked the Reds record for the highest RBIs by a rookie in one season. During the 2008 season, he drove in 84 runs.

In the year 2009, Joey Votto represented Canada in World Baseball Classic. Votto had 4 hits in 5 at bats against the United States in Canada’s first game. He began the 2009 season very strongly as he was an outright starter at 1st base. After hitting 10 doubles in a 5 game span Joey Votto was chosen as the NL ‘Player of the Week” for September 21 to 27, 2009. In the year 1932, same kind of performance was shown by the great Paul Waner for Pittsburg Pirates.

Currently, he is on second spot in the National League in batting average, first in RBI and third in home runs.

He bats with left hand and throws with right hand.
