Alex Rodriguez was born on July 27, 1975 in New York. He is an American League third baseman and plays for the New York Yankees. Previously he played for Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers.

Alex Rodriguez is regarded as one of the best all-round players of all time. He is the first young player ever to score 500 home runs, who wrecked the record of Jimmie Foxx, which was set in the year 1939.

He has more 100-RBI seasons (14) than any player in baseball history. Alex Rodriguez and the New York Yankees agreed to a ten year $275 million contract in the year 2007, which was the biggest contract in terms of money in the history of baseball.

Alex Rodriguez made his Major League Baseball debut in the year 1994 for Seattle Mariners. He hit 606 home runs with the batting average of .303 and runs batted in 1,813.
