Adam WainwrightAdam Wainwright was born on August 30, 1981 in Brunswick, Georgia, and is a right handed pitcher for the Cardinals. He made his MLB Debut in the year 2005 for the Cardinals against the New York Mets. In the year 2006, in his 1st career match he scored a home run against the San Francisco Giants and became the 22nd batter in MLB history to score a home run off his 1st pitch, and the eleventh National Leaguer. He bats with right hand and throws with right hand.

In the year 2007 Adam Wainwright emerged as the most reliable starter for the St. Louis Cardinals. On August 10, 2007 he threw the first complete game of his career against Los Angeles. He finished the season of year 2007 as a starter by leading St. Louis Cardinals in each and every pitching category.

In March, 2008 Wainwright signed $21 million contract for four years with the St. Louis Cardinals. On October 28, 2009 he won the award for National Leagues Most Outstanding Pitcher. On November 11, 2009, he won his first Golden Glove Award.
