Cashman couldn’t define his reasons for being on the trip, but it was more of a feeling. With 10 road games and a lot of ground to make up for a desperate playoff push, Cashman did not want to be watching from afar.
“I feel like I’m where I need to be right now,” he said. “It’s as simple as that.”
Let’s hope he turns out to be a good-luck charm with only 25 games to go.
