Wilson Betemit is back with the Yankees after a brief rehab assignment in Scranton. He was battling a case of conjunctivitis (pink eye). Infielder Alberto Gonzalez has been optioned back to Triple-A in order to make room for Betemit.
Joe Girardi said today that Betemit and Morgan Ensberg will split the third base duties until A-Rod returns sometime late next week.
