Just a few things you should check out today in your free time:
- Baseball America released their Top-100 Prospects list today. Joba ranked 3rd overall, Jose Tabata was #37, Austin Jackson landed at #41 and Ian Kennedy came in at #45. Alan Horne, Jeff Marquez and Jesus Montero made the just missed list. Check out the rankings here: 1-20, 21-40, 41-60, 61-80, 81-100. - Rays pitcher Scott Kazmir will undergo a precautionary MRI on his left elbow after hyperextending it today. He doesn’t seem too concerned about it but it is something to monitor.
- MLBTR has posted their 2009 FA list by position. It’s never too early to take a look at who might be available next year. We already know C.C. Sabathia and Mark Teixeira should hit the market unless they reach deal with their current teams or are dealt at the end of July.
