YU DARVISH, RHP

Saw this over at WasWatching.com this afternoon. It looks like the Yankees are showing interest in Yu Darvish, a 21 year-old, 6-5 Iranian-Japanese born right-hander. I don’t know much about him, but he was was named Pacific League MVP in Nippon Professional Baseball last season.

What isn’t clear yet is whether or not he can be posted for the 2009 season or even if he has a desire to play in the United States.
